History of L & L Contracting, Inc.

Our company was founded in 1974 by Jim Louisignau, President, and Rob LaHaie, Vice-President. L & L began performing most jobs as a subcontractor for the interior divisions of commercial construction. These projects included steel studs, drywall insulating, flooring, and acoustic ceilings. We then expanded into other fields, such as exterior metal framing, and Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (E.I.F.S.), and preengineered buildings.

At L & L, we pride ourselves on being an experienced commercial framing, drywall, insulation, and acoustical subcontractor. We focus on production, quality, and innovation. L & L is also continuously improving our labor force through ongoing training. We have the ability to do projects in most areas of the country.

L & L is becoming a leader in Load-Bearing Metal Stud Wall Systems. We have a facility in Northern Michigan in which we can fabricate wall panels and then deliver them to the job sites. This is critical for projects with compressed, small job sites.

Our main office is located in Cheboygan, Michigan and we have a satellite office in Asheville, North Carolina, allowing us to service a large area including the Southern states.
